Las Sendas

From the selection of the community name to the creation of its land plan, everything about Las Sendas is inviting and unique.  Las Sendas is Spanish for "The Paths."

This master planned community consists of approximately 2,400 acres designed for a diverse population of residents of all ages, with various types of residential and commercial sites, as well as other uses.

The Las Sendas Tennis Center consists of two upscale and separate tennis areas overlooking the cities vista. The largest tennis center consists of four private courts including a grass sloped stadium-style court. The smaller tennis center consists of two courts adjacent to the fitness center.

The Boulder Mountain multifunctional swimming facility provides a heated play pool and integrated with a lap pool, separate children's wading pool and a luxurious spa with scenic views. The Trailhead Members club offers another comparable multi-user pool area adjacent to the fitness area.

Boulder Mountain Parke, Sonoran Heights Parke, and the Desert Foothills Parke', totaling 28 acres, are completed with extensive amenities such as lightened basketball courts, lighted volleyball courts, large grassy play areas, softball or soccer field for daytime play, play stations, and swing areas for children, covered ramadas, barbecue grills, seating areas, bicycle racks, restroom facilities, drinking fountains, as well as walking and biking areas.

The entire community is traversed by miles of natural-desert and hard-surface pathways for walking, biking, or roller blading as while as leading you to the recreational, school, and future employment areas within Las Sendas. Some of the natural desert trails lead you to intimate settings where you may encounter a life-sized statue of an individual who has made an impact on the world-or you could even take a trail to Tonto National Forest which is Las Sendas' northern boundary.

Las Sendas occupies the most ideal location in the Phoenix region situated in the northeast Mesa area. It is bordered on the East and North by the scenic beauty of the Usery Mountains and the Tonto National Forest.  This widely popular National Forest covers nearly 3 million acres, much of which is lush Sonoran Desert.  The Pine Country, with such towns as Payson, Pine and Strawberry is just a little over an hour and a half away by car and offers cool forests and inviting lakes and streams for a multitude of recreational activities.

Las Sendas Elementary School is one of the Valley's highest regarded elementary schools, with excellent teachers and facilities.  The school, located within the planned community, offers such extra-curicular activities as orchestra, band, computer and video clubs, and before and after-school daycare.  Las Sendas Elementary scored the highest rating in the district for math, reading and language skills on the 2002/2003 Stanford 9 tests.
